So knowledge hey.
I believe that knowledge is based on communication, like in Hayley's blog, she says that language is important to knowledge. Language is essential to communication, and therefore, is important as well. When I say "communication", I mean a general understanding or conveying of message from one person to another, or from one person to many people, etc. I believe that the only way anyone can know anything, is through communication. I think... maybe not? Ideas?
I don't know.. as I know nothing :P, but I would tend to respectfully disagree. I think that the most basic knowledge comes from perseption. I believe much more firmly in the validity of knowledge I have acquired myself, through my own experiences, than in knowledge that i have gained from my peers, my family, the media, textbooks, etc. Of course, through language knowledge can be gained very quickly, and written records allow for lasting knowledge that can be built upon as time passes. Without communication this would not be possible, nor would it be possible to gain knowledge from other parts of the world. So i definitely agree that communication is an extremely important way of knowing. But unless the messages that our sent from our senses to our brains count as language, I'm not so convinced that knowledge is based on communication.
